The 10 New Insights in Climate Science-Serie series is an annual synthesis highlighting essential advances in climate change research, from natural and social sciences, with high policy relevance. The report has been launched every year since 2017 at the climate COP, with participation of the UNFCCC Executive Secretary.

This joint initiative of Future Earth, The Earth League and the World Climate Research Programmes is a collective effort to support the diffusion of the most relevant and up-to-date climate change science to policymakers, negotiators, and the general public.

We are seeking input from researchers across all disciplines working with issues related to climate change:

What is a key recent advance in climate change research that you think should be highlighted for policymakers?

Please provide at least one academic reference published in 2022 or later supporting your suggestion.

We welcome your contribution by answering this brief questionnaire by February 17, 2023.

If you have any questions and comments about this request, the overall process, or if you are interested in being part of one of the topic-expert teams (as a co-author) responsible for one of the selected insights, please do not hesitate to contact Clea.Edwards@asu.edu and Daniel.Ospina@futureearth.org.

GERICS is engaged in the 10 New Insights in Climate Science through its direct support for the Earth League as well as its work within the frameworks of Future Earth and the World Climate Research Programme.
