With the searchable network “CDR (Carbon Dioxide Removal) Expertise Mapping”, stakeholders can now for the first time explore more than 50 projects of the Helmholtz Association in the field of CO2 removal from the atmosphere according to their areas of interest and needs using filters, keywords and free text searches and thus gain easy access to the latest scientific information.

The “CDR Expertise Mapping” aims to promote dialogues between science and application and thus contribute to possible collaborations. The tool was developed as part of the SynCom project ‘Scaling Up Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR)’, coordinated by Dr Katharina Sielemann (Helmholtz SynCom) and Dr Rodrigo Valencia (GERICS/Hereon). It connects the CDR projects from the seven research institutes of Earth and Environment via the visual network.
